Build the request around each delivery point

A single warehouse delivery and a multi-store replenishment run are different jobs. For every stop, provide its address, quantity, receiving hours and appointment rules. Identify any limited-access premises or locations without a loading dock. State whether delivery sequence matters and whether the receiver expects whole pallets or separately identified cartons.

Keep order references attached to the physical goods

Group the cargo list by order and destination. Distinguish carton count from pallet count, and describe labels or booking references the receiving warehouse expects. If several suppliers contribute to one movement, identify which goods are ready at each origin. This lets the team assess collection and consolidation without confusing an order line with a physical handling unit.

Define the warehouse handover

Where storage or onward distribution is needed, specify the expected arrival, holding period and release instructions. Ask which receiving, storage and dispatch activities are included in the offer. Do not assume that transport automatically includes stock management, pick-and-pack, marketplace preparation or returns processing; describe those needs separately for the team to assess.
